These proofs are brief, non-interactive, and do not require a trusted setup, rendering them an effective option for verifying commitments in Confidential Transactions. Bulletproofs set themselves apart from other proving systems by combining several range proofs into one compact proof, showcasing efficiency and security even though their verification time is longer than that of zk-SNARKs.
