Launched in 2018, zk-STARK, created by StarkWare, is an advanced cryptographic technique that protects the privacy and integrity of computations on the blockchain. Leveraging cutting-edge cryptographic proofs and contemporary algebra, it allows blockchains to assign computations to an off-chain STARK prover, and then verify their correctness using an on-chain STARK Verifier.
