EVM programmability limitations place significant constraints on the computational and design aspects for DApp developers. Using Cartesi’s RISC-V virtual machine, developers are able to create intricate, resource-demanding DApps employing their preferred libraries, compilers, and established open-source tools. Cartesi rollups can be implemented as layer 2 (above Ethereum), layer 3 (above Optimism, Arbitrum, zkEVM chains, etc.), or as independent rollups.
