Kadena

Kadena is a blockchain platform established by Stuart Popejoy and William Martino, who had key roles in developing JP Morgan’s initial blockchain and heading the SEC’s Crypto Committee. The platform aims to address the issues related to scalability, security, and decentralization within blockchain networks. A notable characteristic of Kadena is its layer-1 Proof of Work (PoW) blockchain design known as Chainweb. This architecture shows how PoW can be successfully scaled while maintaining security and network composability. Along with its sophisticated blockchain framework, Kadena provides a smart contract language named Pact. This language is intentionally created to emphasize security and ease of use. Developers can leverage Pact to develop smart contracts that are secure, verifiable, and auditable. It encompasses characteristics like a syntax that is easy for humans to read and the capacity to create intricate business logic.
