Lido

Launched in December 2020, Lido is the top liquid staking platform allowing users to generate interest on their cryptocurrencies across various blockchains. The Lido DAO oversees the protocol, which involves selecting node operators, setting fees, and maintaining security. When Lido users stake their assets on the platform, they obtain a liquid token, such as stETH, which can be utilized throughout decentralized finance (DeFi) applications and can also be staked for extra rewards. Traditionally, staking assets involves locking them away, but Lido enhances user earning potential by enabling the continued use of liquid tokens in DeFi.
