Established in 2020 by Stephane Gosselin, Flashbots is a research and development entity focused on reducing the adverse effects of Maximal Extractable Value (MEV) strategies on blockchains. It sets itself apart with a three-pronged strategy that includes transparency of MEV activities, democratization, and equitable distribution of MEV earnings. Flashbots is mainly utilized by Ethereum searchers and validators to take advantage of effective and clear MEV extraction.
